ALWAYS TAKE THE SCENIC ROUTE

taylored expressions has a summer challenge going on right now - just use anything from their summer release to create a card. my little birdie is out taking a scenic walk along a mountain road that i created with the new serene scenes dies. the sun, mountains, trees & rolling hill are all from the die set. also from the summer release is the sentiment stamp i used which was perfect for this little scene.

LET IT SNOW

today i'm sharing the card i made for the january taylored expressions challenge - stitching or faux stitching. i included a bit of stitching done with my sewing machine on the bottom of the snow & i sewed the buttons onto the snowman. he was pieced together with a few die cuts & the background is two colors of ink blended together.

i'm stretching the theme a bit for the current lawnfawnatics challenge - coffee, tea & treats. my cute cat is brewing up some green "treats" for a purrfect halloween. lots of paper piecing & a cauldron full of green sequins.

halloween greetings with a bat in a pumpkin. this was quick to put together using a bunch of die cuts & a little bit of heat embossing for the sentiment. the bat die cut was embellished with a bit of black glitter & there is a very faint spider web in the background.

today's card features a birthday fish - he was created with a stamp & stencil combo from taylored expressions. the yellow & gray inks were applied through a stencil & his black details were then stamped. the background school of fish was also created with a stencil & couple of colors of blue ink.

today i have a card i created for the current lawn fawnatics challenge - christmas in july. i used the new lawn fawn high five kit that arrived last week & paired it with a few holiday themed stamp sets.  


copic marker coloring for the bees & honey jar - paper piecing for the tree & to finish off the honey jar. to create the sentiment banner i used sentiments from two stamp sets & carefully stamped each word before heat embossing the entire sentiment.
