HAPPY SPRING

this springy rainbow card was made for the monthly taylored expressions challenge. this month the challenge was to include splatters on the card. the background of the card - the rainbow & sun - were created using a set of stencils. before removing the stencil for the purple & pink portions of the rainbow i added splatters of glue. once the glue was sticky i added the rose gold foil on top.

to begin each month in my pocket scrapbook i've been creating a little scene on a pre-printed 3x4 calendar card. here are my first six months of 2019 - i try to put together each card at the beginning of the month but most of the time it takes me a couple of weeks to decide on the scene. my favorite so far is the little duck playing in the puddle.

a quick first day of spring cross stitch project. this little guy is about an inch and half tall & i stitched him up with some limited edition threads i've been hanging onto for a while.

today is february release day over at taylored expressions - all of the new spring & easter products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop.
my card for today features the new bunny tails & happy trails stamp set along with the coordinating die set. i also pulled out a few build a scene die sets to help create the scene. 


i paper pieced this happy cat with several patterned paper scraps. the bushes in the background were embossed with the new butterfly swirls embossing folder & then i added several pink flowers that were cut with a die from the new door to door spring decor die set.
