today is day 3 of our taylored expressions february release sneak peeks - tomorrow all of the new easter & spring products will be available for purchase in the te shop at 7am pst. also, don't forget that today you have one more chance to win a release week giveaway over on the te blog.

my first card for today features the newest addition to the door to door collection - door to door spring decor. this new die set adds several elements to the door to door collection that can be used year round. on my card i used the boots, potted plant, bow, mailbox & porch light.

to create the look of siding on a house i embossed a piece of poppy seed cardstock with the corrugated embossing folder. then using the previously released door to door & door to door decor die sets, along with the newest addition to the set, i created my scene. lastly i added a simple 'spring' sentiment that is heat embossed on a little bits - sign post die cut.   

Courtney Kelley - Easter Wishesand up next is a simple easter themed card created with the new easter wishes stamp set. the set features 3 sizes of easter eggs that can be die cut with the previously released egg stacklets die set.

i heat embossed the stamped image then watercolored the flowers & circles with a few colors of distress markers. i layered the die cut egg atop a lattice cutting plate die cut & stamped the sentiment onto a banner cut with a die from the pockets & pages - stitched elements set.

first up is a card featuring the previously released spring tulips stamp set - and this month the coordinating die will now be available. for the coloring of my vase of flowers i pulled out some of my neglected copic markers.

i used a sentiment that is part of the spring tulips stamp set & set the vase of flowers on a strip of patterned paper cut with a die from the previously released banner stacklets 3. and then to add a bit of interest i added a few small rhinestones.

next up is a card that started with the newest addition to the picture perfect collection - the die set picture perfect  - sunny days. i used the smallest die in the set to create a gold ray background for my happy shamrock which is from the new lucky charms stamp & die combo.

i paper pieced the shamrock with some patterned paper & cardstock scraps & layered them on top of a die cut created with the coordinating die. i pulled out a previously released stamp set for the 'thinking of you' sentiment - the chalkboard elements 2 sentiment stamp set.

my first card for today was created with the new heart of hearts stamp & die combo. this new stamp & die combo set has several heart images & two coordinating craft dies. the heart focal point of my card was stamped & then colored in with markers. then i cut out the heart with a die from the new stitched heart stacklets die set.

the banner die cut is one of the coordinating dies in the stamp & die combo - and i heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. the embossed background was created with the new paisley embossing folder.

my next card was created with my new favorite stamp set - stitch by stitch. this set features several cross stitch designs along with coordinating sentiments. also new this month is an embroidery hoop craft die that coordinates with the stamp images perfectly. i'll have a project created with it on thursday.

i stamped the cross stitched cat with gray distress ink & added a small die cut heart that was cut with the smallest die in the previously released heart stacklets set. my cat is sitting atop the banner from the build a tag 3 die set - i stacked a couple of cardstock banner die cuts under the top banner for a bit of added dimension & color.

Courtney Kelley - Thanks Snow Much
today is the november release day over at taylored expressions! all of the new products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop. my card for today features all of my favorites from this release. i paired the little penguin from the new calendar critters stamp set with a sentiment from the new critter correspondence sentiment stamp set. this little guy is one of the 12 critters in the set - one for each month!

i colored the little penguin with copics & paper pieced his winter hat - then set him atop a bit of snow that was die cut with a die from the new build a scene - calendar die set. the blue background is s small amount of blue color burst mixed with water. and my favorite stacklets for this month - stitched square stacklets - were used to frame the scene.

Courtney Kelley - Thank You Fairy Much
my pinterest inspired project for june was inspired by a shaker card created by taylor & pinned over on the taylored expressions pinterest boards.

i like how taylor used the tiny iridescent glitter along with the under the toadstool stamp set to create the shaker card. the shiny little glitter works perfectly with this set.

i used the build a tag 4 die set for my tag base & to create the shaker. the little fairy was colored with copic markers, her outfit was paper pieced & her wings are gray vellum. i popped her up with clear foam tape so that it looks like she is floating on top of the tag.

Courtney Kelley - Get Well Soon
this month my taylored expressions die focus project features the sprockets die set that i paired with a robot from the far out stamp set. and to give the little guy a place to stand i used the banner die from the pockets & pages - 3x4 stitched essentials set.

the sprockets die set comes with 3 sizes of sprockets - i used the medium sized sprocket & tucked the die cuts behind the sentiment banner. i stamped the robot a few times onto gesso covered cardstock then colored him with india ink markers. then i cut out all the pieces & put him together.

the new fancy banner 1 stamp & die combo comes with the banner stamp & die along with several sentiments sized to fit perfectly inside the banner. after stamping & die cutting the banner i added a bit of color to it with a few markers. the strip behind the banner was cut using the new bold lace cutting plate then trimmed down to size.

my first card for today features a new craft die set called beauty lies within 2 & the new walking on sunshine embossing folder. the sentiment i chose for these tiny little birds is from the previously released sentiment set shade tree sentiments.

i started off with a white panel that i embossed with the embossing folder. then i die cut the birdie scene twice - once from pea pod cardstock & then again from a blue scrap of patterned paper. i trimmed just the birdies from the patterned paper die cut & placed them atop the green die cut. and that little pink heart - it's the smallest die cut heart i could find. it is the negative cut from one of the keys in the key to my heart die set.

next up is a calla lily bouquet for a special friend. the calla lily bouquet die is new this month & makes cutting out that vase of flowers super quick.

i took a paper piecing break & pulled out my copics for these flowers. i added just a bit of yellow to the flowers & a tiny bit of gray to the vase. a strip of woodgrain paper for a tabletop & then a few green 'bubbles' to finish it off.

my first card for today features the new paw-some petite stamp & die combo. i paired this guy with the rainbow brights 6x6 paper pack & rainbow brights sequins which i also used on one of my cards yesterday.

i did some quick coloring for this doggie & his birdie friends then paper pieced his party hat & collar. added a bit of glossy accents so he'd have a shiny nose & then a jewel to fancy up his collar a bit. he needed something to sit on so i stamped the sentiment on a label die cut with a die from the label it set.

my second card for today was created with the soon to be available think happy thoughts petite stamp & die combo - this set was previously offered as a free set with purchase during the taylored expressions birthday celebration in september.

i die cut the 'happy' portion of the sentiment once from patterned paper & twice from coral cardstock. then i stacked them up for a bit of dimension & added the stamped phrase to complete the sentiment. the little butterfly is one of the images in the new lefty petite stamp & die combo - i paper pieced him & added a bit of glittery shine to his middle with a clear wink of stella marker.

Courtney Kelley - Missing You
taylored expressions december release day is today - all of the new products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop. my card today features the new stamp set much love and the diagonal stripe embossing folder. see all the glitter on some of the hearts - i'm hardly ever able to get that to photograph well!

to create my little scene i stamped the tree & bench onto white cardstock & then colored the images with markers & cut them out. and as you can - the glitter doesn't show up on the hearts in this photo - but you can see how i cut out some of them & popped them up for a bit of dimension. for the strip of grass i embossed a piece of cardstock & then trimmed off a strip.

Courtney Kelley - Boo
today i am sharing a halloween card featuring the gothic window craft die by taylored expressions. i used the window die cut so that it looks like the pirate cat is standing in a doorway looking out.

to create the scene i stamped the cat - he's one of the critters in costume images - and colored him with gray markers. then i masked the colored image & applied yellow distress ink to the background. the little bits of halloween sentiment was added to the say what? conversation bubble & then i finished it off with a tiny bat die cut from the little bits - halloween scene die set.

my card today features the newest mischief maker - she is called mischief maker carried away. and for the strip of grass she is standing on i used a strip of paper from the new hocus pocus paper pack.

since this girl appears to be in partyin' mood i decided to she needed a fun hair color - so i went with pink. her oufit is mostly paper pieced - just her shirt sleves & tights were colored with a black marker. and i added a bit of glitter to her hair as well, but my camera wasn't able to see it.

Courtney Kelley - Happy Camper Tag
today i am sharing a tag i created using the luggage tags die set from taylored expressions. i used the large luggage tag die along with the happy trails stamp set to create this camping themed tag - my bff was the inspiration for this tag as she was off in the woods avoiding bears when i made it.

i wanted the tag to have a bit of thickness to it so i made several tag die cuts from brown cardstock & then a single cut from the white woodgrain paper. i stacked them up then created the little scene inside the tag. i colored the friendly bear with copics & added just a bit of a shadow to his backside.

my first card for today features the new sentiment stamp patriotic prose - proud along with the new craft die set star stacklets. the entire sentiment stamp actually say 'so very proud of you' - but it was easy to just ink up the top for a shorter sentiment.

i spent a lot of time learning how to color her with markers & many, many stamped images later i am pretty happy with the results. i paper pieced her outfit with a couple of patterned paper scraps & added a flag strip i created with the flag cutting plate.

Courtney Kelley - You Are Loved
over spring break i received a big box from spectrum noir full of markers - so i've spent a bit of time over the past few weeks learning how to color stamped images properly. even sought out some advice from a professional artist friend & watched parts of the dvd spectrum noir included in my box of markers which was very helpful.

i decided to work with an image that would provide space to practice blending - so i pulled out this stamp from taylored expressions. a few stamped & colored images later here's my heart hauling blue truck.
