today i am sharing taylored expressions card i created using the embossed resist technique. several members of the creative are using this technique on a project this month & there will be a round up on the te blog this weekend.
to create the embossed resist background i used a cutting plate die cut for the embossed pattern. i die cut a scrap piece of cardstock with the argyle cutting plate to use as a stencil when applying the clear embossing ink to a piece of white cardstock - i used a ranger emboss it dabber for my embossing ink which created a distressed look.
after removing the die cut stencil i applied the clear embossing powder & heat set. once it cooled i used a foam ink applicator to apply distress ink over the embossed pattern. the embossed pattern resisted the ink & i lightly wiped off the excess with a baby wipe. after the ink was dry i trimmed down the cardstock & assembled the little scene on top.
