today i have a taylored expressions project that focuses on the technique of paper piecing. i chose the snowman scene from the ready, set snow stamp set as my focal point since it has lots of pieces & most are fairly easy to cut out. i wanted a long sentiment to help ground the snowman scene & found the perfect one in the if dogs could talk stamp & die combo.
here's a snapshot of the card assembly in action - i started with a lightly watercolored background & then stamped the snowman & sentiment over the top. next i stamped the snowman & the trees onto various scraps of patterned paper & cut out all of them. i like using lots of layers to help add dimension to a fairly flat card. after gluing down all of the pieces with a liquid glue i added a bit of glitter & glossy accents to all of the snowflakes.
