with the october release taylored expressions debuted a new product - 3x4 watercolor panels. this first set of watercolor panels are christmas/winter holiday themed & i created a christmas gift tag with one of the panels.


i colored with images with inktense pencils & added a bit of water to create the watercolored look. then i stamped the sentiment & die cut all of the pieces for the tag with dies from the build a tag 4 set. the pink die cut piece was embossed with the winter flurry embossing folder before assembling the tag.

this week another challenge went up on the share joy challenge blog. i decided to use the top row of the tic tac toe board as a starting off point for my card - die cut pumpkins & a watercolor background. you have until noon pdt on wednesday, 10/21 to participate in this week's challenge.


i started with the background & used a couple of colors from the ken oliver crafts color burst collection to create the sky and grass. then i pulled out my taylored expressions picket fence border die & cut a fence from some wood grain patterned paper. next i used two of the new stitched circle stacklets dies to cut out the layered circles.


the two little pumpkins were die cut from orange patterned paper scraps with the pumpkin die from the little bits - halloween scene die set & the vines hanging off of them were die cut with a die from the arbor accessories die set. i just snipped off a couple of pieces to use for the vines. and then to finish it up i added a sentiment from the c'mon get happy sentiment stamp set.

yesterday was 'world card making day' so i spent a few minutes after dinner putting together a halloween card with the bewitched die set by echo park paper.

and look at her boots - i applied a coating of glitter with a black wink of stella pen & they really sparkle when the light hits them just right. all of the die cut pieces were cut from hocus pocus patterned papers by echo park paper.

 

and a few weeks ago a tutorial for these halloween cards was up on the echo park paper blog. i also used the hocus pocus collection for these cards along with the coordinating stencil, stamps & die set. the tutorial is here.

today is october release day over at taylored expressions! all of the new products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop. my card today features the critters on ice stamp set & the coordinating dies. i also used the build a scene - central park die set - my new favorite die set - for the frozen pond my moose is sitting on.


i paper pieced my moose with some scraps & used a patterned paper from the build a scene christmas 6x6 paper pack for his scarf. the tree in the background is from the build a scene - winter trees die set - to give it a bit of dimension i embossed the tree die cut with the nordic holiday embossing folder.
