my pinterest inspired project for june was inspired by a shaker card created by taylor & pinned over on the taylored expressions pinterest boards.


i like how taylor used the tiny iridescent glitter along with the under the toadstool stamp set to create the shaker card. the shiny little glitter works perfectly with this set.


i used the build a tag 4 die set for my tag base & to create the shaker. the little fairy was colored with copic markers, her outfit was paper pieced & her wings are gray vellum. i popped her up with clear foam tape so that it looks like she is floating on top of the tag.

it's been a while since i've participated in any challenges - so i decided to give one a try this month. the june mama elephant challenge is to use white space on a project & this is what i came up with. and i tried out my new hero arts ombre ink - i think i need a bit more practice with it.

this month my taylored expressions die focus project features the build a scene - sunshine die set that i paired with the build a scene - rolling clouds die set. the build a scene die collection is most definitely my favorite te product line.


i know clouds aren't usually rainbow patterned - but i wanted to add a bit of color to the card. i found the perfect sentiment for my scene in the sunshiny day stamp set. and i added just a bit of an inked blue sky behind the sun with distress ink.

taylored expressions june release day is today - all of the new products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop. my card today features the under the sea stamp set along with the coordinating dies & the new bubbles embossing folder.


i stamped this guy twice on the patterned paper - once for the entire image & then again for just his claws. i wanted it to look like the flag was in his claw so i cut out just the claw & used foam adhesive to pop it up atop the dowel. and to finish him off i added a thin coat of glitter.

today is day 3 of the taylored expressions june release sneak peeks - tomorrow all of the new products will be available in the te shop at 7am pdt. also, don't forget that today you have one more chance to win a giveaway over on the te blog.


my first card for today features the new stamp set wild about you - it comes with several 'wild' animal stamps & a few fun sentiments. i also used the new rainbow scallop border die for the elephant to stand on.


my elephant was paper pieced with a couple of scraps i had in my scraps pile. i stamped him three times - once for the entire image, again just for his head & then for his pink ears. i offset the head just a bit to add a bit of dimension. the background was created with a bit of distress ink & water.

and my second card for today features two new craft dies - bloomers 2 & little bits - fruit basket. there are two bloomers sets being released this month - each set comes with 3 dies that are sized perfectly creating layered flowers. for the stem of the flower i used a die from the previously released bloom where you are planted set.


to create the striped background i used the new bead board embossing folder & distress ink. on the back flap of the embossing folder i applied distress ink to the raised portions. then i spritzed it with a bit of water & stamped the ink onto the card front. to finish off the card i used a stamp in the new berry special sentiment set.

today is sneak peek day 2 of the taylored expressions june release which will be available for purchase on thursday, june 4th at 7am pdt. also, don't forget that today you have another chance to win a giveaway over on the te blog.


up first today is a card created with the summer love stamp & die combo - this stamp set was a free promotional set a while ago. now it will be available for purchase & will come with a coordinating die set.


i borrowed this color combo from the packaging for this stamp & die combo. i paper pieced the ice cream truck & then used a couple of build a scene die sets to create the background scene.



next up is a card i created with the new on the line cutting plate & the on the line accessories die set. the little squirrel die & the sock die are both part of the accessories die set.


i inked up the background with some distress ink then built the scene with all of the die cuts. the tree that is die cut with the cutting plate has a couple of nice details - the trunk is embossed & the separate die that cuts the tree top cuts all the little leaves that can be popped up for a bit of dimension.
