each month the taylored expressions team members cruise the taylored expressions pinterest boards and look for a project that inspires them to create a new project. this month as soon as i saw lea's card i knew i wanted to use her layered felt die cuts idea to create a card:


i ended up borrowing several elements from lea's card when creating mine - layered felt die cuts, twine bow behind a button & a banner sentiment stamped with coordinating colors.


my card was also created for the Share Joy "Thinking of You" campaign. the Share Joy campaign this year is focused on thinking of you cards to support grieving families. the Share Joy campaign is proud to partner with the spiritual care department of the unity point health system in des moines. you can find more information, guidelines & prize information here.

today is day 2 of the taylored expressions & tombow spring fling blog hop. if you missed out yesterday be sure to head over to the taylored expressions blog for a list of those that participated.


for the blog hop tombow kindly sent me a set of retro dual brush pens & a mono glue pen which i paired with the taylored expressions tag-a-long - easter stamp set & the dotted lattice embossing folder.


to color the flower i used two tombow dual brush markers - 725 rhodamine red & 025 light orange - which i applied to the stamped image using the n00 colorless blender by following this tutorial. then for the embossed background i applied a generous layer of ink with the 606 violet dual brush marker to the smooth side of the dotted lattice embossing folder. i spritzed the ink lightly & then embossed a piece of watercolor paper as usual. the raised portion did not take up any ink because it went into the holes on the smooth side of the embossing folder.

this guy was up on the scrapbook & cards today blog a few days ago along with a few other spring themed cards created by taylored expressions team members. and there is a giveaway - all the details are here.


this little easter bunny bear was colored with copics then die cut with the coordinating die - he's from the somebunny loves you set. and every easter bunny needs some eggs - they were die cut with the little bits - easter confetti die set & i added a bit of glitter to the solid colored ones. to create the inked background i used a stencil that i created with a die from the egg staklets die set.

taylored expressions march release day is today - all of the new products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop. my card today features the new petite stamp set fancy banner 1 stamp & die combo as well as the new bold lace cutting plate.


the new fancy banner 1 stamp & die combo comes with the banner stamp & die along with several sentiments sized to fit perfectly inside the banner. after stamping & die cutting the banner i added a bit of color to it with a few markers. the strip behind the banner was cut using the new bold lace cutting plate then trimmed down to size.

today is day 3 of the taylored expressions march release sneak peeks - tomorrow all of the new products will be available in the te shop at 7am pst. also, don't forget that today you have one more chance to win a giveaway over on the te blog.


today i'm sharing cards i created with two new stamp & die combo sets - and they happen to be my favorites this release. first up is a card i created with the new if cats could talk stamp & die combo. this set comes with a cat stamp & die along with several faces that can be used to create a cat in one of his many moods.


today my cat is happy - he was paper pieced and is sitting in front of a framed sentiment from the stamp & die combo set. the frame is one of the four new ones that are part of the frame in frame cutting plate. before stamping the sentiment i added a bit of pink ink to the inside of the frame.

and this guy was created with the if dogs could talk stamp & die combo. he's paper pieced too & is sitting in two strips of grass die cut with the new wispy grass border die.


before creating the little paper pieced scene i inked up some clouds - i die cut a strip of clouds using the previously released build a scene - rolling clouds die set & used it to mask off the clouds as i applied blue ink.

today is sneak peek day 2 of the taylored expressions march release which will be available for purchase on thursday, march 5th at 7am pst. also, don't forget that today you have another chance to win a giveaway over on the te blog.


up first today is a shaker card i created with several new dies & a couple of new stamps. i used two of the three new garden arbor die sets - arbor fence & arbor accessories along with the new wispy grass border die & one of the frames in the new frame in frame cutting plate set.

for inside the shaker i die cut a bunch of tiny little flowers using the arbor accessories die set & added a strip of grass. then on outside of the shaker i added the fence & another strip grass along with the little birdie & sentiment. the birdie stamp & sentiment stamp are both in new stamp sets which i'll be showing off tomorrow - if dogs could talk & if cats could talk.

next is a quick and simple card i created with the new block party - love die, the new floral vine embossing folder & the previously released pockets & pages - march script die set.


to create the card front i die cut the 'love' portion of the sentiment from toffee cardstock & from embossed pea pod cardstock. then i used the green negative cuts to fill in around the 'love' die cut. lastly i finished off the sentiment with the 'lucky in' die cuts & a tiny little enamel heart.
