today is sneek peak day 2 of the taylored expressions february release which will be available for purchase on thursday, february 5th at 7am pst. also, don't forget that today you have another chance to win a giveaway over on the te blog.
my first card for today features a new craft die set called beauty lies within 2 & the new walking on sunshine embossing folder. the sentiment i chose for these tiny little birds is from the previously released sentiment set shade tree sentiments.
i started off with a white panel that i embossed with the embossing folder. then i die cut the birdie scene twice - once from pea pod cardstock & then again from a blue scrap of patterned paper. i trimmed just the birdies from the patterned paper die cut & placed them atop the green die cut. and that little pink heart - it's the smallest die cut heart i could find. it is the negative cut from one of the keys in the key to my heart die set.
next up is a calla lily bouquet for a special friend. the calla lily bouquet die is new this month & makes cutting out that vase of flowers super quick.
i took a paper piecing break & pulled out my copics for these flowers. i added just a bit of yellow to the flowers & a tiny bit of gray to the vase. a strip of woodgrain paper for a tabletop & then a few green 'bubbles' to finish it off.
