today is sneek peak day 2 of the taylored expressions january petite-a-palooza release which will be available for purchase on thursday, january 8th at 7am pst. also, don't forget that today you have another chance to win a giveaway over on the te blog.
today i am sharing two general loved themed projects perfect for any occasion giving. the first features a few new products - hello baby petite stamp & die combo, cloudy days embossing folder & rainbow brights 6x6 paper pack.
in this close-up shot you can see - hopefully - the subtle cloud embossing i did on the top 1/3 of the card. before i scored the card base i placed it inside the embossing folder so that the bottom of the design was 2/3 up from the bottom of the card. since the unfolded card base is sticking out both ends i had to run it through my large die cut machine to create the embossing.
my second project for today is a set of tags created with the new pocketful of sunshine petite stamp & die combo. i used two of the four stamp images designed to pop out of the die cut pocket.
the tag on the left is also a mini card that flips open. to create the card/tag i used the tag die from the build a tag 2 set & cut the entire tag from from toffee cardstock. afterwards i embossed it with the burlap embossing folder. next, to create the mini card portion i scored & folded a piece of sugar cube cardstock that that when folded slightly larger than the tag. then i used the tag die again to cut just the rectangular portion of the tag - i placed the top of the rectangle extended just beyond the fold of the mini card base.
and the other is just a regular ol' tag i cut with a die from the tag stacklets 2 set. i added the die cut reinforcer to the top of the tag - it was cut with a tag reinforcements die. i used the same sentiment as before & replaced the love letters with a pocketful of paper pieced spring flowers.
