this week is the taylored expressions august sneak peek & release week. lots of school & sports themed stamps & dies released this month to mix & match - everything will be available for purchase on thursday, august 7th at 7am pdt. and be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for details on a giveaway.

my first project for today features the new pencil topper craft die that i paired with the new smarty pants rubber stamp set & smarty pants craft die set to make a couple of back to school pencil toppers.

my smarty pants cat & owl were colored with markers then die cut before they found a place to rest on the chalkstock/chalkboard cardstock. i used a bit of crayola chalk on the chalkstock to create a place for each of them to sit.

and my card for today is also sort of school themed - i used the eyeglasses craft die along with a sentiment from the new talk nerdy to me rubber stamp sentiment set to create a card that can be given to one's favorite nerd.


i die cut the eyeglasses a few times from cardstock then stacked them up & wrapped a thin piece of silver washi tape around them. the background is chalkboard paint that was stamped with one of the brush strokes from the stroke of genius rubber stamp set. finished it off with a sentiment stamped with cotton white opaque ink.
