taylored expressions & faber-castell have teamed up for a 2 day blog hop - and today is day 2. if you missed day 1 you can find all the links here. and...there is a giveaway:
simply comment on any (or all!) of our blog hop posts from april 24-april 25. for each comment, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of two fabulous prizes: one lucky winner will receive a $75 faber-castell prize pack of gesso, glaze, gel medium, and 10 new gelatos double scoops and one lucky winner will receive a taylored expressions stamp set and die of choice! comments close sunday, april 27 at 8pm pdt.
for my first card i paired up the taylored expressions oh happy day stamp set w/coordinating dies along with some chalk board paint & pitt pastel pencils from faber-castell.
to create the flowers i painted a scrap of cardstock with chalk board paint & then stamped the flower images with white solvent ink. next i used pastel pencils to color in the flowers - they work perfectly on the chalk board paint. lastly, i die cut the flowers & assembled the little flower garden.
my second card for today features another petite stamp set - showered with love w/coordinating dies. and to create the little scene i used a few products from faber-castell - stamper's big brush pens, gelatos, & glaze.
for the little gray whale i spritzed a bit of water onto the rubber stamp then applied a layer of gray gelato to the stamp - one more spritz of water & then i stamped him onto some gray cardstock. i thought he needed a bit of shine - so i added a couple of layers of glaze which you can see well in the first photo. for the stamped waves i again used the gelato technique & for the hearts i applied red ink to the stamp with a stamper's big brush pen.
be sure to stop by all the blogs in the hop & don't forget to leave comments along the way to be entered into the giveaway.
