taylored expressions april release day is today - all the new products we've been sharing sneaks of this week are now available in the te shop. the card i'm sharing today features a sentiment from the new sentiment stamp set greetings for her & a die from the new set hovering by.


when i first saw the hummingbird dies they reminded me of my grandmother - i made her a hummingbird cross stitch way back when i was new to the sport. so it only seemed fitting to pair a hummingbird with the 'grandma' sentiment. i wanted to make the bird appear to be hovering in place - so i die cut the bird four times - twice from white cardstock, then pink patterned paper and lastly the colorful diamond patterned paper. then i made sure not to put any adhesive on the wings & then popped them up a bit.

We have hummingbird feeders out during the summer. they are feisty little critters. Love your card. the dies are great. I'll be getting them. It will be nice to be able to get the beak without having to worry about fussy cutting it off.
