today is day 1 of the taylored expressions march release sneak peek posts. this month there a 6 new stamp sets & 14 new craft dies/die sets - and everything be available for purchase on thursday, march 6th at 7am pst. and be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for details on a giveaway.
my first sneak peek features the new stamp set welcome home & coordinating craft dies build a home - the stamp set & die set were both concepts by sankari wegman. i 'built' the house using stamps & dies in the new sets - the tree trunk & tree top/cloud are also part of the new die set. note: the little bird & grass border are both from previous releases.
i have noticed this idea several times around the web & on pinterest - after moving use up a box or two by making 'we have moved' postcards to announce a new address. i printed the new address onto white cardstock then added the paper pieced scence before adhereing & sewing to the cardboard box piece.
project #2 is a little 3x3 mini canvas featuring the bloom where you're planted craft die set & again the welcome home stamp set & coordinating craft dies build a home. the flower was created with a few dies in the bloom where you're planted die set and the banner and stamp are both part of the welcome home & build a home sets.
to create the canvas i wrapped a tiny artists canvas with a scrap piece of linen i had leftover from a recent cross stitch project. just wrap the linen around the canvas and staple it to the back.
