Courtney Kelley - You Are Going Places


today i have another card to share using the taylored expressions december stamp of the month - this time i also used the coordinating dies and the picket fence border die. to create this card i die-cut a bunch of shapes - clouds, fence, bike and then layered them to create the scence. if you are interested in the stamp of the month for december it is available until the 31st and you can get it here.

Courtney Kelley - Bucketful of Love


it's the tuesday after release week which means it is time for the taylored expressions stamp of the month blog hop. this month the stamp set is called going places - for my card today i decided to go with the love themed sentiment and one of the two buckets featured in the stamp set.

here's a close-up of the paper pieced bucket. to fill the bucket with hearts carefully use a craft knife to cut a slit in the stamped bucket image - tuck the hearts into the slit.

Courtney Kelley - Caution


my card today features one of my favorite taylored expressions december release stamps - the traffic cone which is part of the dig in stamp set and coordinating dies. and the road washi tape is my favorite - so anything that coordinates well with it goes onto my must use list.

here's a close-up - i colored the cones with copic markers then cut them out. and you know how there is always that one annoying cone that someone has knocked over on it's side - had to include one of those.

Courtney Kelley - Light Up My Life
today is release day at taylored expressions and all of the new petite stamps being released this month are now available here. my project today features the stamp set light up my life. i've used one of the sentiment stamps along with coordinating dies for the lamp.

here's a close-up of the lamp - i added a small snip of gold ball chain and a gold enamel dot to the die-cuts to embellish the lamp a bit. to adhere the ball chain i added several very tiny dots of liquid glue to the paper then carefully placed the ball chain on top.

Courtney Kelley - Doggie Bag


i have a couple more projects to share using stamp sets from the taylored expressions decemeber release - this one being my favorite this month. i used the watson petite stamp set to dress-up a little 3x4 muslin bag. here's a quick of list of steps to recreate the doggie bag:

  1. apply fusible web to fabric scraps
  2. stamp doggie onto fabric scraps
  3. die-cut doggie and trim around his collar and white eye patch
  4. iron fabric pieces onto muslin bag
  5. adhere wood star to collar

and then to finish off the doggie bag on the back i stamped this paw print heart image which is also one of the stamps in the watson set. i was thinking it'd be kinda cute to add a doggie's initals inside the paw print.

and today's second project is a quick card using the from me to you petite stamp set which comes with four sentiments and a coordinating frame die-cut.

here's a close-up of the stamped sentiment and frame. to create the card adhere a strip of patterned paper along on side of the card. die-cut the frame then stamp the frame image and sentiment. finish it off with a couple of enamel dots.

today i am sharing a sneak peek of two new stamp sets that are part of the taylored expressions december release. this month there are 14 new petitie stamp sets and each comes with coordintaing dies. all the new stamp sets will be available for purchase on thursday, december 5th at 9am pst.

the first of the two cards i'm sharing today was created with the on a roll petite stamp set. this set features two different skates, two sentiments, the stars and coordinating dies.

i used copics to color my skates and added some jewels to the wheels - and even pulled the cover off of my silhouette cameo and used it to cut the oval from cardstock.

my next card was created with the light as a feather petite stamp set. this set features three types of feathers, three sentiments, and two coordintaing feather dies.

to create the feather i used a watermark pen to apply watermark ink just to the center of the feather stamp - then stamped heat embossed with brown embossing powder. the coordintaing die was then used to die cut the feather.
