back to the drawing board

this canvas is a bit different than most of the others i've made. i watched several videos from christy tomlinson's pumpkins & cider workshop then went to work putting this guy together. it came together fairly quickly - i did the background one evening then the pumpkin and everything else the next evening. the whimsical design of the pumpkin was borrowed from the paper collection i used for the project and from this pattern - halloween witch pumpkins.

here's the first card i put together using the studio calico october card kit. actually i think the stamps and the yellow enamel dot are the only things that were in the card kit. the green washi tape - which i zig-zag die cut - was in one of the add-on kits. last month i only ended up making 3 cards with the card kit - gotta top that this month.

i made this mini-canvas just because i wanted to use this house stamp. actually i made it like a month ago when it was still back-to-school crafting time - hence the apple tree. even pulled out some of my spray inks that never get used and gave them a squirt over the backgroumd paper. and then i forgot to add machine stitching before i attached the background to the canvas - so i pulled out some really, really old rub-ons. like first year i was papercrafting rub-ons. and one last detail - i covered the sides of the canvas with tissue tape then sealed it. if you don't seal it, when you come back in a day or two the corners will have peeled back.
