today the taylored expressions bakers dozen design team is sharing more projects created with the stamp sets recently released - all are available in the fresh out of the oven department of the online store.

here is a card that i created with the new rubber stamp sets under the sea illustrated by nancy mckinney, and bon voyage illustrated by emily burger. and a short list of steps if you would like to create a similar card:

1. stamp whale onto card base and color.
2. mask whale and stamp waves.
3. stamp sentiment.
4. color tear shaped jewels with markers and adhere.

all of the new taylored expressions july release products are now available in the fresh out of the oven department of the online store. today i'm sharing cards that i created with the life saver and bon voyage rubber stamp sets.

my first card was created with the life saver set illustrated by nancy mckinney. the life preserver was paper pieced with 3 patterned papers and then finished off with a random piece of cord that's been sitting on my table for a while. although i didn't use it for this card, the life saver set comes with a coordinating die set - a life preserver and an anchor. 

and my second card was mostly created with the bon voyage set illustrated by emily burger - the sentiment is part of the life saver set. the boat was paper pieced, and i cut the waves with my silhouette and a scallop border digital die-cut. the anchor was stamped onto a cardstock scrap, cut out and then covered with glossy accents.

i am finally able to share this fun announcement - thank you to taylor for inviting me to be the taylored expressions guest designer for the next two months. on wednesday new stamp sets for the month of july will be previewed on the taylor expressoins blog - and i'll be back later this week with some cards i've made with the new stamp sets.

as for my card today - after stamping the images and sentiment onto the card base i stamped the ladybug onto a scrap of cardstock, colored the wings, cut them out, attached them to the card base, and lastly covered the wings with a bunch of glossy accents.

and this is what i made my dad for father's day. a simple cross stitch pattern from the etsy store andwabisabi - framed it in a small wooden hoop which i first painted then sealed.

i've been waiting to share this card for a while - it was published in the 10th volume of card creations which went on sale last month. i had some craft room furmiture to put together a while back - and instead of throwing out the extra pieces i decided to throw them onto a card. and the black staples are just regular staples that i colored with a copic marker.

today's card is a pretty straight forward example of a simple paper pieced image. just stamped the golf cart a bunch of times onto small scraps of cardstock - cut them out and pieced them all together on the card base.

this is what i worked on this past week - a simple wall hanging that started with the oval frame. a package of wood frames were in a recent studio calico kit and are a bit too big for cards - so this is what i came up with. just glued a bunch of things together and the flower stem was die-cut from fabric.
