back to the drawing board

i just finished flipping through my digital copy of the may/june issue of paper crafts magazine and figured it was about time i share one of my projects from the march/april issue. this card uses the sketch on page 28 - well the mirror image of the sketch.

a couple of cross stitch designs that have been a work in progress for a while. i started this one last winter and recently finished it up. the pattern i used is an old one from heart in hand - bounding bunny - and framed measures 10 x 7.

 

and this one i finished last year but didn't get around to framing it until now. this design is by raise the roof designs and framed measures 15 x 11. right now i'm working on the uncle sam design that is part of this clothesline seris. hoping it'll be done before july.

another simple card using a new stamp from purple onion designs designed by liz tamanaha of paislee press. i'm going to create a few more of these with different sentiments for my operation write home box - hope to have it full soon.

purple onion designs just released new stamps designed by liz tamanaha of paislee press. i used the envies set for this card - each little envelope is less than an inch long. and ending tonite is a giveaway - you chose your favorite new stamp set - over on the pod blog.

a simple birthday card i made for the jane's doodles blog this week. boris the bunny is a digital stamp which i scaled down to about 2-inches wide, printed, colored, and cut. the rest of the card is my usual scallop border, machine stitching and a stamped sentiment. i've been keeping my cards fairly simple and easy to mail as i'll be sending off most of my design team cards to operation write home as soon as i have a full box.

this week paper crafts magazine is promoting their new special issue - practical solutions for paper crafters. so today seems like a good day to share this card. it appears in the 'don't throw it away!' section of the magazine. my 'don't throw it away!' item is the grid background which came from the packaging of a stamp set by maya road. and if you are wondering - the sentiment stamp is from a lawn fawn stamp set. complete supply list can be found on page 126 of the magazine. and if you are unable find a copy in your local bookstore then you can buy it online here.
