one last summer themed card that i made for purple onion designs - and just one last day of summer before i have to head back to work.

another challenge is going on over at the moxie fab world blog - the fabulous felt challenge. as i was digging through my pile of stamps i came across a set with this little lamb and these trees that i had yet to ink up. the plan was to use the lamb and trees together somehow - but i just couldn't make it work, so i ended up with 2 cards. both use the same technique - i stamped the images onto felt and paper, then cut them out and pieced them together.

markers: [rv25, yr16, y13, w1, w3, w6, fbg2] copic

instructions
1. make card base from cardstock - my card base is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
2. stamp flower design and sentiment onto card base.
3. color flowers with markers or coloring medium of your choice.
4. machine or hand stitch below flower design.
optional: to add dimension to the card i paper pieced the flower centers and the tops of the pots.
5. stamp flower design onto scrap piece of cardstock.
6. color flower centers and tops of pots.
7. cut out colored portions and adhere to card.

just a couple of projects i put together this week to give to my little sister. i used my slice to cut the flower from fabric and then tried out machine applique for the first time - i have no idea if i did it correctly - but it does look ok from a distance! and the mini album is just a bunch of random papers and envelopes with a few rubons and tags thrown in as well.
