back to the drawing board

a couple of cards i made with a purple onion designs flower stamp. the original plan was to stamp the flower a few times, color the images with copics, cut them out and then line them up. but that wasn't working out very well - so i made two cards instead. the card on the left also uses a sentiment that comes with the flower, and the card on the right uses a portion of the frame that is part of the flower image.

totally forgot to post this card when i made it a few weeks back. it was my last minute entry into the paper crafts gallery idol contest this year. with not much time to plan i just threw together a few things that were on my desk to come up with this card. and congrats to my blog friend lindsay for making it on to the next round this morning :)

and one more card i made last month for purple onion designs. you can't tell in the photo - but i wanted the heart to look like it was the opening to the inside of the bird house - so i used an exacto knife cut out the heart from the yellow paper and the adhered the orange paper behind the opening.

one of my purple onion designs projects from last month. this one is pretty straight forward - the flowers were colored with copics and the fence was painted with white crackle paint as well as a bit of distress ink on top.
