back to the drawing board

my card that appears in the jan/feb issue of paper crafts magazine went up on the moxie fab world blog today - so i figured it was time to post it here as well. this one was a bit of a challenge for me - aside from printing out digital stamps or sentiments, this was my first go at using a digital element in a project. to create the cameo background i used a cameo font then distressed the edges with the brush tool in photoshop. if you are interested in directions for the entire card or supplies they can be found on p25 in the moxie fabs column. also, the current challenge on the moxie fab world blog is the appearance of cameos - you have all the way until valentine's day to enter the challenge.

this afternoon i decided that is time to start particpating in the moxie fab world challenges again. and here's what i came up with for the gray is the new black challenge - it's a quick one because i wanted to get it photographed before the daylight started to disappear. the flower is a studio calico vintage pattern flower that i sprayed with graphite glimmer mist. a brad, washi tape, a bit of sewing, a stamped sentiment and i was all done.

finally getting around to posting a card of mine that ended up in color inspiration for card makers. lots of totally awesome cards in this issue. i only had time to make a few cards for the call and luckily 2 of them were chosen. this one here with the hero arts doggie stamp is my fave.

i made this one forever ago - or more like 10 months ago. the color combo is borrowed from the color play feature in the the sept/oct 2010 issue of paper crafts magazine. i had to go with a lighter blue than what was shown in the magazine because i just couldn't seem to find a sheet of royal blue cardstock in my 6inch stack of blue cardstock.
