and 8 long days since i've visited my blog. but i'm back today with a card i made for my torendi project this week. and seriously, i can't believe that halloween is almost here.

a super quick card i made for my torendi project this week using 2 different 6x6 paper pads & a chipboard flower. and i finally got around to using this grey cardstock for my card base - i've been meaning to use  it  for a card since like july. and that dowel - i found it in the middle of my floor the other day. i think one of my cats found it underneath the sofa.

i'm back after a week long blog break. work was crazy last week - finding a fire in a bathroom at 1:47am, covering 2 extra evening shifts, and then chaperoning 60 8th graders thru nyc - it was a fun filled week it was. so like i said...i'm back - back with a torendi blog hop -  and back with a chance to win something...

today's halloween countdown card is my torendi project for this week. it all started with the candy chipboard piece which you can find at torendi. then i wanted to use a strip of little circles underneath it, but there was no way i was going to punch out and then glue each one down. so instead i pulled out my silhouette - which btw is so much more convient to use now that it is hooked up to my mac - and cut out the strip of circles. then i decided to play around with some fonts and came up with the "got candy" sentiment. and there you have it - 26 days til halloween.

a quick card i put together for purple onion designs this month. you can't really tell in the picture, but i used distress embossing powder to give the skull a bit of dimension - and of course it looks a bit distressed, as well.
