back to the drawing board

well it's already holiday time in the craft world, and last week a bunch of challenges went up on the moxie fab blog. first one up - create a clean/graphic project. so here's my take on this challenge - i have 3 of the 5 challenges completed so far. be sure to come back and take a look at the others later on this week.

paper: american crafts [french hens/christmas collection]; cardstock: bazzill basics [cottonwood]; stamps: studio g/hampton arts; ink: ranger [jet black archival inks]; rubber embellishment: doodlebug designs.

paper & die-cuts: my mind's eye [breaking free/cowabunga]; paint: folk art [burnt umber]; frame: michael's.

 

way back at the beginning of the year i got an unexpected email from susan opel, one of the editors of paper crafts magazine. she was wondering if i'd be willing to make a project for an upcoming get inspired column. um, yeah. of course! the assignment: find a few school supplies that inspired me to make something. i found a few fruity folders at target that worked well, and used an apple folder to get me started on the project above. check out the back page of the current issue of paper crafts to see the project.

july project #3, or maybe #4, for purple onion designs. since my 'lil sis' bday is this weekend, and i'm headed off to the west coast tomorrow to see her, i figured that today would be a good day to post this card. and i made her a box thingy for part of her bday gift and used glimmer mist on it - my first time  ever using that stuff. now i've gotta go buy it in every color they make.
