back to the drawing board

here's a card i made a while ago. lots of distressed edges on this one.

here's the card set i put together for this challenge. i think this may be the first card set i've ever made. the stamp set i used, from unity stamp company, has lots more images in it.  so i might make a few more cards to add to the set. paper, which i've had for a while, is 6x6 paper by jenni bowlin.

here's a quick one that uses a couple of different stamps from purple onion designs.
1. stamp the postage stamp border on yellow paper.
2. mask the outside border and stamp script on the inside.
3. stamp the flower on blue paper and cut out.
4. stamp the leaves on green paper and cover with glossy accents before cutting out.
5. put it all together.

i'm way ahead of schedule this year - already thinking about mother's day. the "M" is from the homegrown hospitality alphabet and the flowers are from the doodle flowers sentiment set both by purple onion designs . i made a matching card too, but not going to share it til mother's day. and, this just happens to fit the current challenge going on over at the paper crafts blog. hopefully i'll get a chance to make a few other things for the challenge some time this week. probably going to try and make a card set.

a call went out last year for projects that re-use packaging. so i emptied out pillow box full of making memories epoxy shapes and decorated it up for valentine's day. you can find the directions for making the box in paper crafts newest special issue 225 cards & gifts. and all next week on the moxie fab and paper crafts blogs they will be posting lots of projects from this issue and giving away lots of prizes. check it out. they've already posted a few projects and a challenge. 

that's what we've been doing this week while my 11yr old pup recovers from a pretty intense surgery. she's gonna have one wicked scar across her back once she recovers.

made this card with a purple onion designs stamp set and some scraps of paper. it kind of reminds me of this card i made a while ago. the sentiment and tree branch are from the hang in there set. and the owl and flowers were all cut out from this piece of paper.

and another easter card. stamps are by purple onion designs, of course. i used the egg from the celebitties set and the sentiment is from the celebitties sentiment set. i've got one more easter card to share and i hope i don't forget to post it on sunday.
