back to the drawing board

 

i'm on a roll...3 days in a row! i was in b&n the other nite buying the book rebecca for a book club i joined here at school. on the way to pay for my book i noticed the newest paper crafts magazine special issue is out - card creations volume 6. i ended up with 2 cards in this issue. here's one of them and the other is a christmas one. and if you go over to the paper crafts website my project from the december issue is on the their home page.

i was cleaning up my scrapbook area the other nite and found this card that i made some time this summer. i think it was based off of a sketch from paper crafts magazine. i used paper by fancy pants designs and the "lucky me" stamp is stampin up. and you can order stampin up stamps online now. i hated trying to get ahold of the demonstrator in this area, then having to drive and go pick-up the stamps. not too much going on here today. while i'm watching true blood tonite i'm going to put up all of my halloween decorations. well not all of them, but whatever i can fit in the living room.

here's a new card that i finished up last nite. the little birdie is a stamp by pink paislee. i stamped the bird a few times, cut out the pieces, and pieced it together. the swirl is a chipboard pieces from fancy pants designs that i covered with distress powder. 3-day weekend this weekend. i should have signed up for some glass-blowing time in brooklyn. i might call tomorrow and see if i can get into the sunday class. i think it is blown pumpkins this weekend. i still have a few beads there that i need to pick up, so might as well make a day of it. and that just reminded me - i never posted pictures of the beads i made last month.

i've been holding on to this project for a while, waiting until it was posted on the scenic route website. and the instructions for the frame went up today here. i used one of scenic route's newest collections, sonoma, for this frame. and i even put a picture in it! usually i make a frame and it just sits there without anything in it. no school tomorrow - i'm gonna go to my storage unit and search for a missing box of books. now that i have a bigger place i have room for all of my books. i unpacked the last two boxes this week, scanned everything into delicious library, and then discovered that my anne rice and jane austen books are missing.
