back to the drawing board

 no, not wishful thinking. i'm totally happy that it is fall and not spring. although if it were spring we would only have 8 more weeks of school instead of 22 more weeks. so anyway, the reason for a spring card...two cards i made a while ago  ended up in  paper crafts magazines newest book called a card a day. here's the spring one and the birthday one you can see on the paper crafts connection blog. supply lists for both cards can be found in book.

last thanksgiving time i started working on this framed piece. actually i pretty much had it finished last thanksgiving, but i never got around to gluing down all of the pieces 'til this summer. the pumpkin is a 1/4" thick wooden piece that i painted then then decoupaged down some pretty papers. and the swirls were some old chipboard pieces i had laying around. and lastly, the quote - it belongs to stanely horowitz.

time to start posting some fallish projects...so here's a card i made for the purple onion designs blog. the trees are actually a leaf stamp from the doodle foliage set and the hills are part of the scallops set.

and another project that was published recently...this one here is in the 2009 scrapbook trends holidays idea book. the container is a recycled plastic pillow box that originally had some scrapbooking embellishments in it. the paper and chipboard are both from imaginesce.

after making this card for the purple onion designs blog it was the requested for the october issue of scrapbook trends magazine. i have two more recently published halloween projects to share, but those will have to wait 'til tomorrow. i've got a halloween party to get to!

another star ornament to add to my collection. the first one appeared last christmas, and then made it into the scrapbook trends holiday idea book. next was the second one which popped up this summer around the 4th of july. and with halloween just a few days away i figured it was a good time to make the third one. for those that are interested - i was just at michael's and noticed that they are selling these 6-inch already painted wood ornaments again this year. just might have to buy myself a few more so i can make the fourth one, and the fifth one, and...

...and i surprisingly won this time?!?! i didn't post this earlier this week because i totally didn't expect to win, so i was just gonna hold on to it and then put it up after i had posted all of my autumn themed projects. oh, and i actually did get a chance to finish another halloween project today, so that'll be up tomorrow. back to the unity challenge - we had to make a card only using the colors pink & brown, and one more thing...it had to have a masculine feel to it as well. in my case guitar = masculine. there is just one more week of unity challenges - this last challenge is a halloween themed one. check it out here.
